Back in Montana

Arizona was a good time, and now I'm back in Montana with a few miles in my legs just in time for spring riding and racing. The weather has been a little unpleasant, but mostly just during the week.  The first weekend back I rode in the Bitterroot Saturday with Mobi to Stevensville for lunch and on some nice back roads. That's about the only mobi ride I do these days because they take kind of a long time. This one usually has a lot of the mountain bike crew and it's pretty scenic down there.

Since I rode from home to the meetup spot in lolo that day worked out to about 80 miles, and then I got back out the next day for a group ride up in Polson. The MT Hell Ride has been rescheduled and re-routed this year on some roads outside of Missoula, and this worked as sort of a training ride for both that and the upcoming Speedwagon Classic. Ali and Matt took us out on some cool dirt roads around Polson for about 75 miles. It was also scenic.

Really cool route, can't wait for Speedwagon April 2nd. Didn't do much the next week other than drink beer with Ross, but did go for a run. It was dumping snow Thurs afternoon so I figured the mtb ride was going to be cancelled and didn't go. A few people actually showed up. I went skiing Friday  and it was a powder day at Snowbowl. Then back to riding on the weekend.

Saturday was the usual Missoula road ride, up Miller creek and then out big flat and to frenchtown. A few fast paced sections and it was a good time. Sunday Graham sent me a message in the morning and said he and Lizzy were going for a ride earlier than the noon group meetup and we went down to the Bitterroot, on part of the previous weekend's route. Fun, scenic, but we all really can't wait for the trail to Lolo to be finished.

This week is the first "Wednesday Worlds," there a big group ride on Saturday, and then the next weekend is speedwagon. Yay bikes!

Oh, and I signed up for the Butte 100 again.
